About me

I’m Peri, welcome to my space. In it you will find stuff that moves me, maddens me, captures my attention, makes me question its truth.

I’m Peri, welcome to my space. In it you will find stuff that moves me, maddens me, captures my attention, makes me question its truth. You will read what makes me curious, annoyed, energized, joyful, vulnerable.

I’m a big biter of Life, wanderer of near and distant lands, observer of human predicaments and a constant reinventer of all of the above. In previous versions I have been a print, radio and photo journalist, a communications expert, poet and playwright.

With degrees in Economics, Broadcast Journalism and Sociology, I have worked at The Times of India, the BBC World Service and the United Nations, which allowed me to savour a slice of Mumbai, London, New York and Reykjavik. My work has been published in leading newspapers and literary journals in India and Iceland. Documentaries produced for the BBC and United Nations have received international coverage on their organisational networks. Plays written and/or directed by me have been performed (and awarded) in The United Arab Emirates.

I’m also a mother, daughter, sister, niece and devoted lover of pasta, pets and Japanese art prints. I love water and enjoy being near it.

I call Dubai home for the last few years, but that may change at a moment’s notice.
